The importance of cancer research cannot be overstated. Huge breakthroughs in the fight against breast cancer have been made and with continued support more women are surviving it.
John McCormack, CEO of the Irish Cancer Society said: “The Irish Cancer Society is delighted to welcome these fantastic brands and organisations on board as our 2015 Pink Partners. As an independent charity, we rely on support from the business community and the public to continue the work which we do. Most recent figures from the National Cancer Registry of Ireland show that over 2,800 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in Ireland every year. We are committed to providing vital, free services to breast cancer patients and their families to support them during their cancer journey. We are also funding breast cancer research to find better ways of diagnosing and treating breast cancer which in turn will improve the outcomes of breast cancer patients.” See more
