If you trade under your own name, and want to use your name for your website and email (for example www.jamesmurphy.ie or james@jamesmurphy.ie), you have until Wednesday 31st of October to secure it!
On the 31st of October, the rules for registering personal domain names will be relaxed, allowing anyone with that name to register the domain name – you will no longer have first rights to the domain name if you use it to trade.
To secure your .ie domain name, all you need to do is:
- Apply for the domain name with Digiweb
- Provide us with your VAT number OR a letter from the your solicitor, accountant or bank manager confirming that you trade under your own name.
