Payzone, Ireland’s largest consumer payments network, has signed an agreement with Irish owned Telecoms company, Digiweb Ltd. Digiweb is one of Ireland’s leading independent telecommunications companies, providing nationwide broadband and telephony services to both residential and small business customers. The collaboration allows for the transfer and collection of payment transactions from Digiweb customers through the Payzone retail network. This new service will provide a convenient and simple to usepayment option, for Digiweb customers.
With over 2,500 retail agents throughout the country, Payzone agents have a presence in every town and county throughout Ireland. Recent independent research conducted by Red C Research across a broad range of Payzone stores nationwide found that the top three reasons given by consumers for using Payzone services include its ‘handiness and convenience’ (67%), ‘easiness to use’ (35%), and their ‘preference to pay in cash’ (25%).
Payzone agents currently process a variety of electronic transactions services, including mobile phone top ups; debit/credit card transactions; M50 motorway toll payments; Leap travel cards; local property tax payments, parking fees, pre-paid utility and parcel collection services.
