Can I use traditional FAX with Talk VoIP phone service? No, unfortunately Digiweb cannot guarantee the successful operation of Fax over the Digiweb Broadband Talk (VoIP) service. However, general one page Faxes should be fine. Please note for UK DECT phones/fax machines, you need the UK cable and a proper UK/Irish adaptor with ringing capacitor built in. Can I use the SMS feature on my handset with the Talk VoIP phone service? No. This feature is not supported.

I have a monitored alarm or medical alert service – will the service work? No. You should keep your existing traditional landline for your alarm or medical alert service.

Can I make emergency calls to 112 / 999? Yes. Please remember that your VoIP services requires electricity to work. If there is a total power cut/failure in your home or business then the phone service would also stop working.

Will my existing analog / DECT phone work? Yes. Please note for UK DECT phones / fax machines, you need the UK cable and a proper UK / Irish adaptor with ringing capacitor built in.

Do I have to port my number? No. Digiweb can provide you with a new geographical number such as 01 or 021 for example. There is no charge for this.

Download the Porting Form. Complete it and return it with a copy of your most recent Eir (or other provider invoice) to Digiweb. Porting typically takes 24-48 hours once the correctly completed form has been received. 

Can I port my phone number from Digiweb back to another Telecoms provider at a later date? Yes – how this is charged is down to the other Telecoms Provider.
