Using Digiweb Broadband Talk (VoIP) is exactly the same as using your home phone i.e. you make and receive calls in exactly the same way.

You may notice some subtle differences when you first use the service but these are minor:-

• Due to the nature of the technology you may notice a slight delay after you dial the number until you hear a ringing tone, this is typically 3-4 seconds when you call a landline and 5-6 seconds for calls to a mobile phone.

• Ringing and engaged tones are very slightly different but easily recognisable most people either do not notice this at all or forget it in a very short time.

• Please note phone handset connect to the back of the modem and VoIP technology does not support house alarm, panic buttons and multiple phone socket extensions. In the event of electricity outage, since modem requires constant electricity supply, phone service will also stop working. Once electricity resumes and modem is online phone service will resume too.
